Ni’mat Spa can be found on the second floor of an airport hotel, but don’t let that put you off – this an airport hotel with a difference. Accessible from within Copenhagen Airport itself via a covered walkway, or by a twelve-minute metro ride from the city centre.
A true sanctuary, containing a small pool, steam bath, relaxation area where food and drink are available, changing rooms and treatment rooms. The spa itself is small and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful – just what one would desire from a haven of detoxification! The changing room was well equipped with robes and slippers, a shower cubicle, lots of towels and lockers for valuables. The steam room was clean and had a soothing scent. The dim lighting contributed to the relaxed vibe. For those seeking inner calm as well as outer beauty, the aptly named Golden Egg offers a space for deep thinking and quiet meditation.
The service began before we’d even reached the spa. Treatments were fully explained over the phone when pre-booking, by a knowledgeable and friendly lady. On arrival, the staff were attentive - once changed into our robes, the receptionist explained the benefits of the treatments over a delicious cup of ginger tea, and presented us with another drink and some fruit following our treatments..
RASK chose the “Temple Massage” and a face treatment, for maximum relaxation. The 30 minutes of foot peel, mask and massage were superb, although the therapist wore latex gloves throughout – usually a no-no in luxury spas. Luckily the gloves were off for the body massage (one of the best RASK has ever experienced). RASK’s chosen scent of lavender oil drifted throughout the room and we found ourselves drifting off…The facial treatment was carried out straight after this, with no need to move anywhere – a perfectly planned treatment package.
One of the best spa experiences in Denmark. Gorgeous Asian décor, attentive staff and first class treatments. The perfect way to alleviate post/ pre-flight stress!
