From the infamous Nobu restaurant brand comes the Nobu Ryokan Malibu – quite possibly the only hotel on the West Coast that combines traditional Japanese minimalism, world-class cuisine and architectural elegance. Nestled on the shores of Carbon Beach the hotel is a perfect spot to gaze endlessly out into the Pacific Ocean. As you would expect from Nobu, guests will find themselves just a few steps away from the Nobu Malibu Restaurant whilst incredible in-room dining options are also available with a custom-crafted Nobu Malibu menu.
The Nobu Ryokan Malibu opened its doors in Spring 2017 following its high-end renovation of a 1950s beach motel – Casa Malibu. Each of the 16 guest rooms were uniquely designed with luxury amenities such as en-suite fireplaces, private decks, teak soaking tubs and carefully curated Japanese art. Tranquillity, seclusion and design are of clear importance at this sanctuary hotel. A sense of omotenashi – the Japanese art of hospitality – was planned to feature throughout the Nobu Ryokan Malibu. Guests can enjoy relaxing on the wooden deck lounge, overlooking Carbon Beach and the Pacific Ocean. For a more energetic activity, guests are easily able to head to the private Malibu Racquet Club located just a few minutes away by car.
With this hotel marking the first of the Nobu Ryokan Collection, one can easily see how Nobu is swiftly becoming a well-respected and multi-faceted, global luxury brand.
