The flagship lounge of the Romanian flag carrier, TAROM, was paid a visit by Jessica Vrazilek; read her review here.
Location was close to our gate, making it a convenient spot to sit down and enjoy a cocktail prior to boarding. Quite small in size, the lounge seemed open and spacious due to the low number of other passengers and the large windows facing the tarmac, letting in a great deal of natural light.
All very clean and neat - the staff were milling about ensuring that all was kept clean at all times.
Food and Drink
Pre-mixed ocktails, juice and cold beverages were on a counter. Snacks included chips, pretzels, peanuts and biscuits, along with a selection of yogurts and cottage cheese in a refrigerated section.
The lounge provided all the amenities needed: free and high-speed wifi, and ample seating. Downsides were the small selection of magazines and newspapers, and the distance of the closest restroom - a public restroom around the corner from the lounge.
Staff were friendly and calm.
The simple, yet clean and professional ambiance provided exactly what it set out to do. No frills, but did the job.
