The perfect tailor-made experience

Right in front of Ponte Vecchio and next to Via Tornabuoni’s alluring boutiques, it's hard to imagine a better location in Florence.
Who stays?
Fashionistas, travellers who don't compromise on location and room size, whoever loves the intimacy of a private house and chic contemporary design.
Style and Character
Owned by the Ferragamo family, Portrait Firenze is the epitome of Italian elegance and style, paired with the typical Tuscan warmth and welcoming attitude.
This is where you really feel like you're getting a tailor-made experience.
A dedicated "Lifestyle manager" follows you from the moment you make the booking, inviting you to fill in a form to indicate your preferences about anything (forget the usual pillow menu... here they ask about your favorite music, food, drinks...). When I entered my room, the docking station was playing my favorite music, a platter with my favorite fruits and a handwritten note were placed on the table, and I was provided with my favourite magazines during my stay.
Check-in is done in a most pleasant way; sipping a drink and chatting with the hotel staff in the lobby (more of a cozy living room than a proper hotel hall). The moment I entered the hotel, the doormen and the entire staff already knew my name - I admit that it's a great feeling every time it happens! There are no strong divisions between front desk/concierge/... it seems that all the staff is equally prepared not just to pamper you at the hotel, but also to guide you through Florence with great tips of any kind.
Rooms and Suites
Portrait Firenze is an all-suites hotel, so the space and facilities you get even at the entry level rooms are far beyond what you usually expect in the heart of Florence. Colors are bright and the big floor-to-ceiling windows in my room let natural light come in, while offering a spectacular view onto Arno river (you'll feel pretty privileged noticing all the people squeezed on Ponte Vecchio who are trying to enjoy the same sunset view you can get from your room...).
It's hard not to love the ultra-chic design and appreciate every detail of the rooms, from the fabrics of the sofa to the sumptuous marble bathrooms, the big walk-in closets, the kitchenette, the original b/w photos of the Ferragamo family and Italy's haute couture...
The latest technology (docking station with iPad, bluetooth and more) can really enhance your stay - if you have the patience to learnhow to use all the devices.
The minibar is stocked with anything you like, if you advise your preferences before your arrival.
Toiletries are, needless to say, by Ferragamo.
Food and Drink
I only had breakfast at Caffè dell'Oro, the restaurant's all-day-dining bistro, and it was delicious.
Note: breakfast is usually not included... unless you are a RASK client ;)
Features, Wellness, and Amenities
Nice amenities are the free bikes to explore the city, access to the Salvatore Ferragamo museum and special amenities at Ferragamo boutiques.
The hotel does not have spa/pool/gym facilities on site.
Perceived Value
Perfect location goes hand in hand with top-quality service, gorgeous design and unprecendented room features... all in all a great value for a luxury hotel in the heart of Florence.
Pioneering the concept of all-suites hotels in Italy, Portrait Firenze is without a doubt one of the best new hotels, not just in Florence, but in Italy.
